Bringing Lifesaving Water Safety to Hillsborough County

At Life Academy, our commitment to the youth of Hillsborough County extends far beyond the boundaries of our facilities. We are dedicated to bringing lifesaving water safety initiatives into schools across our community. Teaching children how to swim saves lives, but empowering them to recognize when someone is in trouble and to respond safely without putting themselves at risk has an even greater impact.

Exciting News for February 2025!

Life Academy is partnering with Apollo Beach K-8 to introduce our lifeguarding program to all students during PE classes. While the in-school sessions will focus on critical water safety knowledge, they will not include in-water simulations. To complete the experience, we strongly encourage parents to enroll their children in an in-water session at our pool, conveniently located next door at the Apollo Beach Racquet and Fitness Club. Practicing these newly learned skills in a real-world setting is vital for ensuring that children are prepared to act quickly and effectively in an emergency.
